There`s always a lot going on at Aress Academy. Come back here often to find the latest!
August 1, 2007 --- Aress Academy is proud to announce the comeback of its Cisco CCNA program. Due to popular demand, the school will continue to offer the Cisco CCNA class in its evening sessions for ten weeks. The program was retired for 18 months due to a slowing in the computer technician job demands. We have found, however, that the demand is back and with a vengeance! If you like computers and working with your hands, the Cisco CCNA program might be your ticket to a great career and a sustainable future.
January 1, 2008 -- Aress Academy became the first post-secondary institution in Michigan to provide each student with a new Dell Laptop Computer. The decision was made without raising tuition rates, fees, or anything else. The program is very popular with students, as you may imagine. Beyond the excitement, the laptops will be used to complete assignments, learn the internet, look for jobs, and become familiar with the information processing. For many students, this is the first personal computer they have ever had. We believe that a computer and internet access today are as important to the working person as reading, writing, and arithmetic.
July 1, 2008 -- Aress Academy had a great run with its free laptop program, giving over 100 Dell laptop computers to students. The promotion was dedicated for the first half of the year, and it was a hit with students and staff alike. Unfortunately, the promotion ended June 30 to give management a chance to evaluate the effectiveness of the promotion against what's really important - meeting training goals and job employment rates. If the study shows a significant increase in training completion and job placement, you can bet that FREE LAPTOPS will be a permanent part of the Aress Academy experience.
April 1, 2009 -- Aress Academy is leading the way with training under the No Worker Left Behind program. We are proud of our Governor, Jennifer Granholm, for being the most progressive in the country in enabling training money for unemployed and low skilled workers. Michigan is on the rebound and Aress Academy is right there helping people train and get work as soon as possible. You wont spend 2-3 years here - most programs are less than 8 weeks in length! We have joined the State of Michigan as a partner in No Worker Left Behind and you can benefit.
